CDOT Announces New Regional Bus Service

05-Feb-2015 to 05-Feb-2015

If you didn't stop by the Western Stock Show to check out the sleek black commuter bus with purple letters on the side that read "Bustang," you'll have a chance to ride on one soon. Starting in March, CDOT is launching an Inter-regional Express Bus Service to make traveling to the I-25 Front Range and I-70 Mountain corridors easier. The Bustang service will run from Denver to Glenwood Springs in the west, Fort Collins in the north and Colorado Springs in the south.

Longer-distance commuters will have an option to kick back in style with WiFi, bike racks, bathrooms, USB charging stations, outlets, and reclining seats, among other amenities. CDOT's hope is that the new state-run bus service will not only alleviate the stress of bumper-to-bumper traffic to the mountains, but have a positive environmental impact by eliminating the number of cars burning up gas on the state's roadways.
