CDOT Construction Prequalification Application Goes Paperless

23-Jun-2017 to 12-Jul-2017

All contractors intending to bid as a prime/general contractor on a CDOT highway construction project must be prequalified by CDOT prior to submitting the bid. Prequalification ensures that the prime contractor has the experience, bonding capacity, and financial ability to perform the project. Subcontractors are not required to be prequalified.

As of June 1, 2017, construction prequalification applications must be submitted through the CDOT Business Management System (B2GNow). Paper copies are no longer accepted. This is the same system used for DBE and ESB certification, as well as project compliance reporting. To apply, contractors must first register in the system (a requirement for ALL contractors) and then complete the optional prequalification application (only required for firms intending to bid as a prime contractor). Be sure to read the instructions carefully and select the option to complete the prequalification application.

Depending on the level of bidding capacity you are seeking, you will be required to provide information about your company, a financial statement, a letter of bonding, list of equipment, references and other related documentation. You can login to the system to review what is required to complete the application prior to submitting.
