CDOT Launching Small Business Collaborative Forums in 2016

Early next year, CDOT will kick­off a new series of Small Business Collaborative Forums which will be provide the opportunity for small businesses, CDOT staff, and other industry leaders to meet regularly to learn about what is happening in CDOT DBE and ESB programs, receive project briefings, and work on finding solutions to issues facing small businesses.

CDOT will host separate Small Business Collaborative Forum meetings dedicated to construction and professional services so discussions can be tailored to the unique needs of these two different types of contractors. The first meeting of the Professional Services Collaborative Forum will be on January 14, 2016 at CDOT HQ from 9am ­ 11am. The focus will be on proposed changes to the CDOT consultant contracting process including how the DBE and ESB programs are applied to consultant contracts, how small business participation is scored on proposals, new program enforcement and tracking processes, and more. If you are a consultant working on CDOT projects, you won't want to miss this opportunity to be the first to learn about and weigh in on CDOT's plans for enhancing consultant contracts!
