CDOT Selects Design-Build Teams to Propose on C-470 Project and Sets DBE and OJT Goals

30-Jun-2015 to 30-Jun-2015

The following three of five teams that submitted Statements of Qualification were short-listed to receive the Request for Proposal (RFP) to design and build the $269 miillion C-470 Express Lanes expansion project in Denver.
  • Edward Kraemer & Sons/Atkins
  • Flatiron Construction/AECOM
  • Ames/HDR
These teams are required to attend a Reverse Trade Fair on June 19, 2015 where they will meet with DBE firms. DBEs who attended the pre-fair workshop on May 18th will be showcasing their products and services at display tables. Other contractors and and industry stakeholders are invited to attend and network with the DBE firms, CDOT Project Managers, and representatives from the prime teams.

Two separate DBE goals have been set for the project, one for the design portion and one for construction. Design elements have a DBE goal of 10 percent and construction is set at 12 percent. The On-the-Job Training (OJT) goal is 20,000 hours for skilled crafts.

If you are a DBE firm that provides highway design or construction services and are interested in subcontracting opportunities on the C-470 Express Lanes project, come to the Reverse Trade Fair. If you missed the pre-fair orientation on May 18th, you may still attend as a walk-in.
