Nearly 300 people attended the CDOT I-70 East Project Small Business Networking Event on October 22 at the National Western Complex. This included 65 people representing 45 DBE and ESB Professional Services firms who show cased their capabilities at the Reverse Trade Fair that kicked off the afternoon of networking. Tony Devito, CDOT I-70 Project Manager, gave a brief presentation about the project scope, proposed DBE/ESB goals, and Request for Proposals (RFP) schedule. He also let attendees know that the project will soon be renamed Central 70 to better capture the geographic location and importance of the corridor to the state's transportation system.

Representatives from the four short-listed prime developer teams came out in force to meet with small businesses interested in participating on the project. Each team visited the display tables of DBE/ESB firms at the Reverse Trade Fair and then welcomed additional small businesses to team tables at the SBE Networking event.
