Construction of New CDOT Region 2 Headquarters in Pueblo Nearing Start

16-Sep-2016 to 11-Apr-2017

On September 15, the Colorado Transportation Commission approved the $28 million spending budget for CDOT's new regional headquarters in north Pueblo. Construction is set to start in November or December and is expected to take about 18 months to complete. CDOT plans to move into the 140- employee complex by mid- 2018. The new CDOT campus will sit on a 12-acre lot at the intersection of Wills Boulevard and the new segment of Outlook Boulevard. Pueblo Crossing developer W.L. Enterprises donated the land for the CDOT project.

The Neenan Company was selected as the design-build partner in a competitive bidding process at the end of last year. The firm also recently designed and built CDOT' s new Region 4 headquarters in Greeley. The new Region 2 building will span nearly 100,000 square feet to include office, maintenance, and traffic facilities. It will also serve as the regional headquarters for the Colorado State Patrol. In addition to building construction, the project will include city of Pueblo funded road improvements, including the construction of Outlook Boulevard between Dillon Drive and Wills Boulevard.
