Free Legal Assistance for Small Businesses with COVID-Related Issues

18-Jun-2020 to 18-Aug-2020

Small businesses in Colorado have been hard-hit by the COVID-19 economic crisis, with minority and woman-owned small businesses being hit the hardest. Professional legal volunteers have offered to provide free assistance with COVID-related legal issues to help small businesses get back on their feet. The Colorado COVID Small Business Legal Project is a joint effort of several organizations:

  • The Office of the Colorado Attorney General
  • The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International
  • Trade (OEDIT)
  • The law firms of WilmerHale and Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP
  • The Colorado Lawyers Committee

The program matches small businesses with legal volunteers via an online application for assistance. There are also other legal resources available, including webinars, to help small businesses, particularly minority and woman-owned small businesses, meet the challenges of the pandemic.
