I-70 East Project Moving Forward

05-Sep-2014 to 05-Sep-2014

There's been a lot of planning and activity happening on the I-70 East Project. Below is a list of highlights and upcoming events:
  • August 29 - The Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) was released outlining the transportation alternatives which were evaluated in an effort to improve safety, access, and mobility while addressing congestion on I-70 from I-25 to Tower Road.
  • September 2 - A local project office was opened in the Elyria and Swansea Neighborhood at 3501 East 46th Avenue (Denver Rescue Mission). The office is staffed by project team members who are on hand to answer questions and collect public comments on the SDEIS.
  • September 23-25 - Public hearings will be held at the end of the month to review project information and gather comments.
  • October 14 - Deadline to submit public comments on the SDEIS for review and inclusion in the project record.
  • October 22 - A Project Information & Networking Session will be held for industry stakeholders and contractors interested in learning more about future project contracting opportunities and CDOT's diversity initiatives.
