Highway Construction Contractor Prequalification

Contractors are prequalified to be a prime on projects up to a maximum size (dollar value) determined by CDOT. The reason for this is that larger projects require a higher bonding level and more extensive qualifications. Firms demonstrate their qualifications on the application by providing information about key staff experience and past performance. CDOT also evaluates the company’s financials and equipment to determine if you have the capacity to manage the size of project you wish to manage.
