CDOT Small Business Certifications

CDOT has two primary small business programs that are designed to assist emerging small business and minority- and woman-owned businesses in obtaining work on CDOT projects. These programs are managed by the CDOT Civil Rights & Business Resource Center and require formal certification to qualify for and participate in each of the programs.

Certification in these programs is essentially a tool to help you get your foot in the door. They do not guarantee you will get a contract with CDOT but they do provide a competitive advantage. They also come with support services that provide resources to assist both contractors and consultants with business preparation, marketing, bidding and performing work as a prime or subcontractor.
